Wedding Photographer

Wedding banquet halls normally offer packages which include a recommended wedding photographer.  It is advisable to order a package with an ample number of photos as most couples will want to share photos with both families, friends and of course have a reminder of their big day.  After the event additional photos outside the package are costly as the photographer often maintains copyright over the photos.  Thus, one should understand exactly what is and is not included in the package to avoid disappointment later.

Our photographer gave us the option of having beach photos prior to the wedding as well as a video of the event.  We were able to frame a large photo of us at the beach (dressed in white - not bathing suits) in the foyer of the church.  We also included several different beach poses in miniature frames on the wedding reception tables.  After the honeymoon we had to meet with the photographer to select the pictures.  Our packet had 100 4x5s, 18 8x10s and one 18x24 portrait.  But between the beach, the wedding ceremony and the reception there were hundreds of photos to sort through.  As well, we were trying to prepare three separate albums and leave several additional photos for friends so it took a few separate visits and an Excel spreadsheet to finalize our selection.  But when you finally get the album you have a really nice momento of the wedding day.   I would certainly recommend the selection of a professional photographer as you can't retake the pictures once the wedding is over.  To save on the cost just make sure the photographer's services are included in the wedding package and be sure the package includes an ample number of photos.
