Wedding To Do List
There are many details one has to consider when planning a
wedding so we have included some of the most important things
to keep in mind:
-inform friends and family members of your engagement
-agree on a wedding date and time
-choose a location for the wedding and reception
-shop for a wedding dress and accessories at least
a few months before the wedding as the alterations will
take a few months to complete
-find a wedding photographer
-communicate with a pastor or priest regarding your
wedding plans and start any required premarital counseling
-plan the honeymoon details - airline reservations, hotels,
places you want to visit, first night accommodations, etc.
-communicate with the maids of honor, groomsmen and the
partents of any children that you would like to
participate in your wedding
-prepare a list of invitees and select the design for the
wedding invitations
-visit a store to select the items for the bridal
registry
-select the colors, decorations, flowers, menu for the
reception, the cake, and music for the wedding and
reception (including a DJ)
-send the invitations and note the number of attendees which
will need to be communicated to the reception hall; follow up
with those who have not responded
-look for a ring for the groom
-set aside time for bachelor/bachelorette parties
-visit the local courthouse for the civil wedding and
marriage certificate; some states will require medical exams
before this can be done
-set aside some time for a rehearsal a few days before the
wedding
-make appointments with a hair stylist and manicurist as
well as eyelash tinting for the bride
-the groom will need to purchase a tuxedo and accompanying
accessories
