Last Week Preparations

The last week or so prior to the wedding can be kind of crazy as certain things cannot be done until the last couple of weeks but yet it all has to be done by the wedding day.  The bride typically has some final preparations the last day or two prior to the wedding so that she will look her best - hair, makeup, eyebrows, etc.  You also have rehearsals,  decorating the church or wedding location, packing for the honeymoon, picking up the tux, confirming hotel reservations and cleaning up your place before your mother arrives!

The night before our wedding we were going to meet with some friends to help arrange the church.  My mother was shopping in a nearby mall so after work I went to look for her.  Traffic was like a parking lot in the direction of the mall due to an accident so I found my way to a another mall about a mile way.  The only option was to walk or spend an hour in traffic going nowhere.  My fiancee was doing some last-minute errands but due to a miscommunication about where we supposed to meet we got back to the church much later than anticipated.  When we arrived we discovered there was another meeting planned and almost had to wait till midnight to start the preparation.  Fortunately, the meeting was moved to another room.  Whew!  Close call.
